Employ The Unemployed

Unemployed Help and Lifting Challenged Lives

Interested in an Internet Business?

The first step in mastering unemployment is getting out of bed. You’ve mastered that, as evidenced by the fact that you’re here.

The next step is staying motivated on a positive path forward. It helps to make a list of things you can do well and that you enjoy. Get clear on what it is that you can accomplish now that you have the time to improve your skills and your personal growth.
Look at this “time-off” as an opportunity to discover your true potential, build potential into usable skills and move forward in your life.

Internet Marketing is an explosive field in which to gain knowledge, learn new skills and perhaps even build your own business. Now you’re ready to explore Internet Marketing and how to make money doing what you know and love.

Being unemployed can actually turn into a blessing, especially if you use the time to discover your inner truths and direction. That leads me to the following video I discovered on YouTube. Watch it. It’s definitely worth your time.

So now I suspect you’re saying to yourself, “But I’m not an advertising executive, nor have I ever worked in marketing.” Don’t give up. There’s many stories on the Internet about stay-at-home moms who are now successful (Pot Pie Girl), and others who lost or quit their jobs to become successful on the web (Caroline Middlebrook).

In all cases, although these successes are impressive and could be considered to be overnight given the length of their prior careers, it does require quite a bit of work, self-motivation and time to be successful. So don’t give up if it takes longer than a week!

There are a number of ways to make money on the Internet:
1. Niche Marketing for e-commerce or Cost Per Action (CPA)
2. Affiliate Marketing
3. Blogging and monetizing the site
4. MLM (Multi-Level-Marketing)
5. Adsense and other Cost Per Click (CPC) methods

These various methods are not necessarily mutually exclusive. In fact, it’s smart to use more than one to reinforce one another. For example, you can use niche marketing to sell a product and simultaneously promote affiliates.

For those who are lost in the new lingo, let me define some of the terms listed above:

Niche is a narrowly defined market or area of interest promoting products to sell. For example, a niche is focused on products of interest to a narrowly defined audience like people looking for tattoos, cigars, pet costumes, etc.

A niche can be about anything you can imagine. The more narrowly defined, the less competition you may find. It’s a balance between minimizing competition and maintaining a large enough number of people who are interested in your product.

There is an entire process to determine whether a niche may be profitable. Caroline Middlebrook actually covers one method that helps develop niches. Pot Pie Girl successfully uses Squidoo to test niches for profitability.

An affiliate is a web marketer who has a product or an e-book (down-loadable information) to sell. By helping them get exposure and sell their product, you become a merchant and gain a commission for any sales that occur as a result of your promotional efforts.

Affiliate marketing is actually one way blogs can become profitable. Yaro Starak teaches about blogging and making money. Listen to this podcast interview with Caroline Middlebrook conducted by Yaro Starak to understand her journey to make money blogging.

Eban Pagan is a well-known and wonderful teacher for “Information Marketing” or e-book creation, rather than relying on selling someone else’s book or information. I highly recommend viewing his latest series of free videos for absolutely great information about creating your own information business.

Multi-Level-Marketing is well known outside of the Internet and essentially applies the same concepts of direct sales to social media like Twitter, My Space, Facebook and others. There are some interesting opportunities here including two endorsed by Donald Trump.

Adsense is advertising conducted through Google (Adwords, Pay-Per-Click / PPC). There is an entire market dealing with making money through Adsense and Google.
